I am a very family orientated, caring and thoughtful person, who genuinely cares about her friends, family, clients and their well-being. I like to think I have a good sense of humour and enjoy a healthy bit of banter with my siblings, where we take great pleasure in poking fun out of each other! (I always win of course) and although I don't have children, I have 2 beautiful twin nieces who I adore and love to spoil rotten. I have a passion for being by the water, whether it's the sea, a lake, a river or a hosepipe! and with my love for nature, my dream is to have my own forest "hospital" one of these days
I had Epilepsy as a child, which got worse as I entered my teens. It wasn't the coolest thing to have as a teenager, but I didn't let it hold me back, or stop me from doing anything my friends would do (much to my parents distress!) The medication I was put on was quite savage and the side effects were long lasting. I was then diagnosed with Coeliac disease, which is an autoimmune disorder to do with Gluten, which stopped me eating all the great foods I used to love, so I have to have gluten free foods, (not by choice).
Anyway, after a very bad stomach infection, which I caught on a trip overseas, I then developed a blood clot on my leg and lung and was quite seriously ill and unable to work for long periods of time. This meant I was in and out of various hospitals, being prescribed all sorts of horrible medication.
To cap it all, I then developed Ulcerative Colitis, which almost finished me off, and once again meant numerous trips in and out of hospital, where I was told my only option was to take a plethera of medication, including chemo drugs, which would cure the colitis, but would wipe out my immune system....not a choice I chose thank you, I chose another path,, one that I was in control of. So I have always looked to try and heal myself with various "alternative" therapies, which eventually I did. Ultimately, I chose to be accountable for my own health and in control of what was right for me.
I've been unfortunate enough to witness domestic abuse, narcissistic behaviour, aggression, anger, alcoholism and long term psychiatric disorders in people. This can cause huge traumas in children, resulting in a variety of issues that continue into adulthood. I've also worked in extremely toxic workplaces, with narcissistic bosses, where they cultivate such negative environments, that their lack of empathy for staff and clients can be very similar to being in an abusive relationship. So I do understand trauma, and how all of the above can manifest into emotional eating, stress, anxiety, phobias, fears, addictions and exhaustion. .
Through all of the above, I've had my moments of tears, depression, pain and sadness, but I also have a stubbornness and inner strength that refused to let these events bring me down completely. I didn't want to be defined by my illnesses, fears, phobias or the stresses of toxic behaviour happening around me. That's not who I am. That's just what happened to me and around me, but it's not who I am.
So when I began another round of comfort eating, due to yet another a stressful time in my life, I knew I had to take charge and become me again., the real me, not the me that was slowly treading water. So as I was searching for what I could do to kick start my life again, I came across one of those "life changing" moments you often read about. Hypnotherapy. But not just any hypnotherapy. I've been incredibly lucky and blessed, to have been trained at the world renowned Jacquin Hypnosis Academy, by Freddy & Anthony Jacquin themselves. Two incredibly brilliant people, who gave me the tools, the inspiration and the results, to heal myself, to heal others and to help people to release any unnecessary fears, phobias, pain, anxieties or problems and I will always be eternally grateful to both of them for that gift.
I would also highly recommend you go and see Freddy and Anthony Jacquin in person if you can, as their energy, humour and passion for what they do is highly infectious! Until then, you will have to make do with me! So please feel free to contact me for an initial consultation, or watch some of my social media videos below
